Welcome to the Multiscale Energy Transport Lab (METLAB) directed by Dr. Weihong Li in the Mechanical Engineering Department of CityU Hong Kong.

 

Our lab integrates fundamental studies of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and materials science to understand the multiscale energy transport processes and create innovative solutions in aerospace thermal management, interfacial materials and phenomena, and energy materials and devices. 

03/11/2023: Our research proposal on "Developing Low-Cost PEM Electrolysis at Scale by Optimizing Transport Components and Electrode Interfaces" was granted by Green Tech Fund. Well done!! 

25/10/2023: Our research proposal on "Development of Thermoresponsive desiccant-coated Biomimetic Heat Exchangers for Adsorption-based Dehumidification" was granted by ITF seed project. Well done!! 

 

 

09/08/2023: Our lab is always recruiting PhD student and Postdoc on water electrolysis device development, water splitting catalyst, seawater electrolysis. 

 

05/07/2023: Our research proposal on "Cooperation of Thermoresponsive Fast-Kinetic Desiccants and Biomimetic High-Flux Heat Exchangers for Low-Temperature Desiccant Coated Heat Exchanger" was granted by RGC Early Career Scheme. Well done!!
